Tithes

²² “You shall tithe all the yield of your seed that comes from the field year by year.²³ And before YHWH your Elohim, in the place that he will choose, to make his name dwell there, you shall eat the tithe of your grain, of your wine, and of your oil,and the firstborn of your herd and flock, that you may learn to fear YHWH your Elohim always. ²⁴ And if the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry the tithe, when YHWH your Elohim blesses you, because the place is too far from you, which YHWH your Elohim chooses, to set his name there, ²⁵ then you shall turn it into money and bind up the money in your hand and go to the place that YHWH your Elohim chooses ²⁶ and spend the money for whatever you desire—oxen or sheep or wine or strong drink, whatever your appetite craves. And you shall eat there before YHWH your Elohim and rejoice, you and your household. ²⁷ And you shall not neglect the Levite who is within your towns, for he has no portion or inheritance with you.

²⁸ “At the end of every three years you shall bring out all the tithe of your produce in the same year and lay it up within your towns. ²⁹ And the Levite, because he has no portion or inheritance with you, and the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, who are within your towns, shall come and eat and be filled, that YHWH your Elohim may bless you in all the work of your hands that you do.

The Sabbatical Year

15 “At the end of every seven years you shall grant a release. ² And this is the manner of the release: every creditor shall release what he has lent to his neighbor. He shall not exact it of his neighbor, his brother, because YHWH's release has been proclaimed. ³ Of a foreigner you may exact it, but whatever of yours is with your brother your hand shall release. ⁴ But there will be no poor among you; for YHWH will bless you in the land that YHWH your Elohim is giving you for an inheritance to possess— ⁵ if only you will strictly obey the voice of YHWH your Elohim, being careful to do all this commandment that I command you today. ⁶ For YHWH your Elohim will bless you, as he promised you, and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow, and you shall rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over you.

⁷ “If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that YHWH your Elohim is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, ⁸ but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be. ⁹ Take care lest there be an unworthy thought in your heart and you say, ‘The seventh year, the year of release is near,’ and your eye look grudgingly^[a] on your poor brother, and you give him nothing, and he cry to YHWH against you, and you be guilty of sin.¹⁰ You shall give to him freely, and your heart shall not be grudging when you give to him, because for this YHWH your Elohim will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake. ¹¹ For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’

¹² “If your brother, a Hebrew man or a Hebrew woman, is sold^[b] to you, he shall serve you six years, and in the seventh year you shall let him go free from you.¹³ And when you let him go free from you, you shall not let him go empty-handed.¹⁴ You shall furnish him liberally out of your flock, out of your threshing floor, and out of your winepress. As YHWH your Elohim has blessed you, you shall give to him. ¹⁵ You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and theLord your God redeemed you; therefore I command you this today. ¹⁶ But if he says to you, ‘I will not go out from you,’ because he loves you and your household, since he is well-off with you, ¹⁷ then you shall take an awl, and put it through his ear into the door, and he shall be your slave^[c] forever. And to your female slave^[d] you shall do the same. ¹⁸ It shall not seem hard to you when you let him go free from you, for at half the cost of a hired worker he has served you six years. So YHWH your Elohim will bless you in all that you do.

¹⁹ “All the firstborn males that are born of your herd and flock you shall dedicate to YHWH your Elohim. You shall do no work with the firstborn of your herd, nor shear the firstborn of your flock. ²⁰ You shall eat it, you and your household, before YHWH your Elohim year by year at the place that YHWH will choose. ²¹ But if it has any blemish, if it is lame or blind or has any serious blemish whatever, you shall not sacrifice it to YHWH your Elohim. ²² You shall eat it within your towns. The unclean and the clean alike may eat it, as though it were a gazelle or a deer.²³ Only you shall not eat its blood; you shall pour it out on the ground like water.

Passover

16 “Observe the month of Abib and keep the Passover to YHWH your Elohim, for in the month of Abib YHWH your God brought you out of Egypt by night. ² And you shall offer the Passover sacrifice to YHWH your Elohim, from the flock or the herd, at the place that YHWH will choose, to make his name dwell there. ³ You shall eat no leavened bread with it. Seven days you shall eat it with unleavened bread, the bread of affliction—for you came out of the land of Egypt in haste—that all the days of your life you may remember the day when you came out of the land of Egypt. ⁴ No leaven shall be seen with you in all your territory for seven days, nor shall any of the flesh that you sacrifice on the evening of the first day remain all night until morning. ⁵ You may not offer the Passover sacrifice within any of your towns that YHWH your Elohim is giving you, ⁶ but at the place that YHWH your Elohim will choose, to make his name dwell in it, there you shall offer the Passover sacrifice, in the evening at sunset, at the time you came out of Egypt. ⁷ And you shall cook it and eat it at the place that YHWH your Elohim will choose. And in the morning you shall turn and go to your tents. ⁸ For six days you shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there shall be a solemn assembly to YHWH your Elohim. You shall do no work on it.

The Feast of Weeks

⁹ “You shall count seven weeks. Begin to count the seven weeks from the time the sickle is first put to the standing grain. ¹⁰ Then you shall keep the Feast of Weeks to YHWH your Elohim with the tribute of a freewill offering from your hand, which you shall give as YHWH your Elohim blesses you. ¹¹ And you shall rejoice before YHWH your Elohim, you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant, the Levite who is within your towns, the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow who are among you, at the place that YHWH your Elohim will choose, to make his name dwell there. ¹² You shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt; and you shall be careful to observe these statutes.

The Feast of Booths

¹³ “You shall keep the Feast of Booths seven days, when you have gathered in the produce from your threshing floor and your winepress. ¹⁴ You shall rejoice in your feast, you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant, the Levite, the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow who are within your towns. ¹⁵ For seven days you shall keep the feast to YHWH your Elohim at the place that YHWH will choose, because YHWH your Elohim will bless you in all your produce and in all the work of your hands, so that you will be altogether joyful.

¹⁶ “Three times a year all your males shall appear before YHWH your Elohim at the place that he will choose: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, and at the Feast of Booths. They shall not appear before YHWH empty-handed. ¹⁷ Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of YHWH your Elohim that he has given you.

Isaiah 10:32 - 12:6

English Standard Version (ESV) 

³² This very day he will halt at Nob;
    he will shake his fist
    at the mount of the daughter of Zion,
    the hill of Jerusalem.

³³ Behold, YHWH Elohim of hosts
    will lop the boughs with terrifying power;
the great in height will be hewn down,
    and the lofty will be brought low.
³⁴ He will cut down the thickets of the forest with an axe,
    and Lebanon will fall by the Majestic One.

The Righteous Reign of the Branch

11 There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse,
    and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit.
² And the Spirit of YHWH shall rest upon him,
    the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
    the Spirit of counsel and might,
    the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of YHWH.
³ And his delight shall be in the fear of YHWH.
He shall not judge by what his eyes see,
    or decide disputes by what his ears hear,
⁴ but with righteousness he shall judge the poor,
    and decide with equity for the meek of the earth;
and he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth,
    and with the breath of his lips he shall kill the wicked.
⁵ Righteousness shall be the belt of his waist,
    and faithfulness the belt of his loins.

⁶ The wolf shall dwell with the lamb,
    and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat,
and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together;
    and a little child shall lead them.
⁷ The cow and the bear shall graze;
    their young shall lie down together;
    and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
⁸ The nursing child shall play over the hole of the cobra,
    and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder's den.
⁹ They shall not hurt or destroy
    in all my holy mountain;
for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of YHWH
    as the waters cover the sea.

¹⁰ In that day the root of Jesse, who shall stand as a signal for the peoples—of him shall the nations inquire, and his resting place shall be glorious.

¹¹ In that day the Lord will extend his hand yet a second time to recover the remnant that remains of his people, from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush,^[a] from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the coastlands of the sea.

¹² He will raise a signal for the nations
    and will assemble the banished of Israel,
and gather the dispersed of Judah
    from the four corners of the earth.
¹³ The jealousy of Ephraim shall depart,
    and those who harass Judah shall be cut off;
Ephraim shall not be jealous of Judah,
    and Judah shall not harass Ephraim.
¹⁴ But they shall swoop down on the shoulder of the Philistines in the west,
    and together they shall plunder the people of the east.
They shall put out their hand against Edom and Moab,
    and the Ammonites shall obey them.
¹⁵ And YHWH will utterly destroy^[b]
    the tongue of the Sea of Egypt,
and will wave his hand over the River
    with his scorching breath,^[c]
and strike it into seven channels,
    and he will lead people across in sandals.
¹⁶ And there will be a highway from Assyria
    for the remnant that remains of his people,
as there was for Israel
    when they came up from the land of Egypt.

YHWH Is My Strength and My Song

12 You^[d] will say in that day:
“I will give thanks to you, O YHWH,
    for though you were angry with me,
your anger turned away,
    that you might comfort me.

² “Behold, God is my salvation;
    I will trust, and will not be afraid;
for YHWH Elohim ^[e] is my strength and my song,
    and he has become my salvation.”

³ With joy you^[f] will draw water from the wells of salvation. ⁴ And you will say in that day:

“Give thanks to YHWH,
    call upon his name,
make known his deeds among the peoples,
    proclaim that his name is exalted.

⁵ “Sing praises to YHWH, for he has done gloriously;
    let this be made known^[g] in all the earth.
⁶ Shout, and sing for joy, O inhabitant of Zion,
    for great in your^[h] midst is the Holy One of Israel.”
